The Grand Jam brings Mars Challenge international-phase teams together in Getafe for three days of projects, creation and global exchange.
This is not a sequence of presentations. It is a complete experience.
The journey starts in each country
Before arriving, young people develop their projects through Mars Challenge and take part in institutional, local or national processes. International-phase teams access The Grand Jam through official programme routes.

Different journeys. One International Final.
- CHAMP — The team officially representing its country presents its project to the international jury.
- The Originals — Projects selected by participating institutions and organisations present their identity, creativity and proposal internationally.
- Hack — Young people from different countries temporarily leave their original teams to create new solutions together.
How the experience unfolds
- Arrive — Delegations register, discover the space and meet participants from other countries.
- Present — Teams share projects, decisions, learning and prototypes.
- Create — Young people form international teams around a shared challenge.
- Connect — Participants, mentors, institutions, companies and allies exchange ideas and experiences.
- Recognise — Results and recognitions are presented, including the Premio Internacional announcement.

From an idea to a visible solution
Teams bring a project developed during Mars Challenge: a clear problem, solution, prototype, viability and benefit for Earth. Work may include a Concept Document, a schematic prototype and a concise project presentation.
Projects are assessed under international criteria including impact, creativity, solution design, development, learning, relevance, STEAM+ innovation, communication and return to Earth.
At the end of The Grand Jam, the jury recognises outstanding projects and teams. The selected Premio Internacional team may continue in Houston only if the 2026 official conditions confirm that experience.
